▶Vocabulary

undercooked: 生焼の

overcooked: 焼きすぎの

dry: 乾燥した

juicy: 汁の多い、ジューシーな

tender: 柔らかい

mushy: （お粥のように）柔らかい、読み方は、「マシィ」

▶Grammar Tip

a bit too (adjective) で、少し〇〇しすぎているという意味になる

way too (adjective) で、かなり〇〇しすぎているという意味になる

ex)

The chicken is a bit too dry.

The peas are way too mushy.

▶Trivia

「I disagree with you」や「I don't agree with you」という表現は、あまり使われない。

これらの表現は、相手との喧嘩の火種になりうるからだ。同意できないことを言う時は、「Oh, really?」や「Are you serious?」を使うのが望ましい。

講師の方が言うには「Oh, really?」は適当に返事しているように感じるらしく、「Are you serious? 」をよく使うそうだ。
